Retirees and near-retirees: Get a free investment makeover from MONEY magazine

October 15, 2011: 11:12 AM ET

For a story that will run in MONEY's January/February 2012 issue, the magazine will be pairing different families with a financial planner for a free portfolio makeover. In each case, a professional adviser will suggest a new investment plan tailored to the family's goals and financial situation, and be able to address other financial concerns.

We'd like to find families soon, so if you think you'd like to participate, please send an email to MakeMeOver@moneymail.com. You'll get an automated reply explaining what information we need from you to consider you for a makeover.

We're particularly interested talking with people in their 50s and 60s who are nearing retirement or have recently retired. Do you wonder whether you are taking too much risk with your investments? Or do you think you might not be taking enough risk? Is there a better way to structure your portfolio? If you'd like some answers to these questions, please let us know.

To get an idea of what these makeovers look like, you can check out this story from a past issue:

Thank you for your consideration.
